    Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – Tizi n'Tichka – Ait Ben Haddou – Boumalne Dades

Your 3-day desert tour from Marrakech to Fes starts bright and early with a pick-up from your hotel or riad. As you leave the lively streets of Marrakech behind, the road leads you through the winding paths of the Tizi n’Tichka pass, offering incredible views of the High Atlas Mountains. With every turn, you’ll notice scattered Berber villages and terraced fields blending into the landscape.

Midway through the journey, we’ll stop at the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Morocco’s most photographed locations. After exploring this centuries-old fortified village, we’ll continue toward the Dades Valley, where lush palm groves and dramatic rock formations await. The night is spent in a comfortable guesthouse or hotel in Boumalne Dades, with dinner included.

Day 2: Boumalne Dades – Todra Gorges – Merzouga Desert Camp

The second day of your Marrakech to Fes tour begins with a delicious breakfast before heading to the impressive Todra Gorges. These towering canyon walls, carved by the Todra River, are a favorite stop for travelers and photographers alike. Take some time to walk through the gorge and soak in its natural beauty.

From here, the trip continues through the desert landscapes of southern Morocco, passing small towns like Erfoud, known for its fossils and date markets. By late afternoon, you’ll arrive in Merzouga, where the vast dunes of Erg Chebbi stretch as far as the eye can see. A camel ride will take you across the golden sands to your luxury desert camp, where you’ll enjoy dinner under the stars and the calm serenity of the Sahara night.

    Day 3: Merzouga – Midelt – Azrou – Fes

Wake up to a magical sunrise over the Sahara dunes, followed by breakfast at the camp. Your trip back to Fes starts with a drive through the scenic Ziz Valley, filled with lush palm groves and traditional Berber villages.

Continuing north, we’ll pass through the town of Midelt, known as the “Apple City,” and head toward the cedar forests of Azrou, where you might spot wild Barbary monkeys. The journey concludes with a stop in Ifrane, a charming town often called “Little Switzerland” for its alpine architecture and pristine surroundings. By evening, your driver will drop you off at your accommodation in Fes, marking the end of an unforgettable Morocco desert tour.
