    Itinerary

    Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz valley – Merzouga

The 3 Days Tour from Fes to Merzouga begins with an early pick-up from your accommodation or the airport in Fes. From there, we head south through Imouzzer, making our way to Ifrane, known for its cool climate, snow, and alpine-style architecture – no wonder it’s called the “Switzerland of Morocco.” We then continue our Short desert trip from Fes to the cedar forests, home to the Barbary macaques, where you can feed them while strolling through the woods.

Next, we drive to Midelt for a lunch break before heading towards the Sahara Desert. We will pass through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and along the scenic Ziz River.

In the afternoon, we reach the Merzouga Sahara Desert, where you’ll swap to Camel trek Sahara Fes across the golden dunes. A stop will be made atop a high dune to take in the mesmerizing sunset. Afterward, we continue to the luxury desert camp, where you can enjoy Berber drumming, dance around the campfire, and gaze at the star-filled sky.

Day 2: Merzouga – Khamlia – Merzouga lake – Erg Chebbi

On the second day of our Fes Sahara loop tour (3 days) you’ll return to Merzouga on camels, where your driver will be waiting. The day is dedicated to exploring the Merzouga region, which is rich in incredible sites, from the vast sand dunes and wild lakes to mines, fossil areas, and beautiful oases, all perfect for outdoor activities.

We begin our Fes round-trip desert tour with an off-road drive to visit an ancient eyeliner mine, followed by a visit to a nomadic family living in their handmade woven tent. Here, you’ll learn about their lifestyle while sipping traditional Berber tea. Next, we head to the village of Khamlia, where you’ll enjoy Gnaoua music and dance performances. The villagers, originally from sub-Saharan countries like Mali, Sudan, and Niger, will share their unique cultural heritage. After some free time for lunch at a local restaurant, we take a leisurely walk through a palm grove. We then drive a short distance to see Merzouga’s wild lake, also known as Flamingos Lake.ش

    Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Ziz valley – Ifrane – Fes

After exploring the souk, we continued to Erfoud to visit one of the workshops specializing in fossilized marble.
