The Best desert tours from Marrakech to Fes begins with an early pick-up from your accommodation or the airport in Marrakech. From there, we journey through the stunning High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi-N-Tichka Pass, with stops along the way for panoramic views of the awe-inspiring landscapes. Our first visit will be the Kasbah of Telouat.
We continue our way to the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, which is one of Morocco’s most famous landmarks This iconic fortified village has been featured in numerous films, Afterward, we head to Ouarzazate, known as “The Gate of the Desert.” Enjoy a delicious dinner and spend the night at a local hotel.

From there, we drive to the Dades Valley via Boumalne Dades, with stops to admire the “Monkey Fingers” rock formation and enjoy breathtaking views from a mountain top overlooking the valley. After a day full of exploration, we’ll have dinner and spend the night at a hotel in Boumalne Dades.

After enjoying some free time for breakfast, you’ll return to Merzouga on camels, where the driver will be waiting. The rest of the day is dedicated to exploring the fascinating Merzouga region, known for its diverse landscapes including sand dunes, wild lakes, fossil sites, mines, and lush oases – perfect for various outdoor activities.
Our 5 days tour from marrakech to fes begins with an off-road drive to visit an ancient eyeliner mine, followed by a visit to a local nomadic family in their handwoven tent, where you’ll learn about their way of life while enjoying traditional Berber tea. On the final day of your Extended Sahara trip to Fes, you’ll wake up early to witness the stunning sunrise in the heart of the desert. After some free time for breakfast, you’ll return to Merzouga either on camels or by the Camp’s 4×4 vehicle, where the driver will be waiting. We then leave the desert behind and head to Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalet, which remains a major trading hub with a souk on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. After the market tour, we will head to Erfoud, where we will pass by a petrified marble workshop.
Next, we drive along the Ziz River and stop for a panoramic view of the Ziz Valley. After a break for lunch in Midelt, we continue to the Cedar Forest, home to the Barbary Macaques, where you can feed them as you stroll through the forest. Our final stop is Ifrane, known for its cool temperatures, snow, and alpine-style houses often referred to as the “Switzerland of Morocco.” Finally, we drop you off at the airport or your accommodation in Fes, marking the end of this unforgettable journey.
