The 9 days tour from casablanca begins with a pick-up from the airport or your accommodation in Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city and economic hub. We’ll start by visiting the impressive Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in the country, beautifully situated on a promontory overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. After some free time for lunch, we’ll continue exploring Casablanca, including the lively Corniche, Rick’s Café, and Mohamed V Square (also known as Pigeon Square).
After breakfast, we’ll drive along the coastline to Rabat, one of Morocco’s imperial cities and its current capital. Here, you’ll visit the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the historic Kasbah of the Oudayas. After some free time for lunch, we’ll continue our journey north through Ouazzane and the scenic Rif Mountains until we arrive at Chefchaouen, the famous Blue City known for its white and blue-painted streets and alleyways.
After breakfast, take some time to stroll through the charming blue-painted alleyways of Chefchaouen. Later, we drive towards the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its impressive mosaics, pillars, and archways. After exploring the ruins, we continue about 30 km to Meknes, the Ismaili capital and one of Morocco’s imperial cities. There, we’ll visit Bab Al-Mansour, the Sahrij Souani Basin, the Royal Stables, the Granary, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Finally, we head to Fes.
After breakfast, we will explore the main highlights of Fes with a local guide. Fes is one of Morocco’s imperial cities and serves as the cultural and religious heart of the country.
We will begin by visiting the Royal Palace gate, followed by a drive through the Jewish Quarter, known as “the Mellah.” Next, we head to an ancient fortress for a panoramic view over the Medina and the city.
Afterwards, we enter the well-preserved medieval Medina, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Starting at the Blue Gate (Bab Boujloud), we embark on a walking tour through the old Medina. Along the way, we will visit the Bou Inania Madrasa, the Nejjarine Fountain, the famous Tanneries, and finally the Quaraouiyine Mosque and University, considered the oldest university in the world.
In the afternoon, you will meet your driver and return to your Riad. The rest of the afternoon is free at your leisure.
After breakfast, we drive south through Imouzzer to reach Ifrane, a city known for its cool climate, snowfall, and charming alpine-style architecture. It is often referred to as the “Switzerland of Morocco.”
We then continue to the Cedars Forest, home to the Barbary macaques. You’ll have time to stroll through the forest and even feed the monkeys if you wish.
Later, we head to Midelt, where you will have free time for lunch.
Our 9 days tour from casablanca continues towards Merzouga, passing through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and along the scenic Ziz Valley, with stops along the way for panoramic views.
In the afternoon, we arrive at the Sahara Desert in Merzouga. There, you will switch to camels and ride across the golden sand dunes, stopping on top of a high dune to witness a breathtaking sunset.
Finally, we reach the desert camp, a perfect blend of traditional nomadic tents and modern comfort. Spend the evening enjoying Berber drum music, dancing around the campfire, and marveling at the starry night sky.
After breakfast, we depart from the desert and head to Rissani, the former capital of Tafilalet. Rissani remains an important trading hub, especially lively on market days: Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.
After exploring the souk of Rissani, we continue to Erfoud to visit a workshop specializing in fossilized marble.
We then drive through the lush palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad, making our way to the Todra Gorges.
The Todra River has carved a dramatic canyon through the mountains, creating a paradise for rock climbers.
Take your time to walk through the gorges and enjoy the breathtaking scenery.
After lunch at a local restaurant, we continue to the Dades Valley via Boumalne Dades.
Along the way, we stop to admire the unique “Monkey Fingers” rock formations and enjoy panoramic views over the valley from a scenic lookout.
After breakfast, we continue our 9 days tour from casablanca towards Kalaat M’Gouna to explore the Rose Valley, known for its annual Rose Festival held every May, where locals display a variety of rose-based products.
We then drive through the palm groves of Skoura before reaching Ouarzazate, famously known as the “Gateway to the Desert.”
In Ouarzazate, we visit the Atlas Studios, where many famous movies were filmed.
Next, we head to the renowned Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
This fortified village has been featured in several films like Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy, and TV series like Game of Thrones.
After a 20-minute walk to explore the Kasbah, we continue our drive to Marrakesh, crossing the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi-N-Tichka pass.
There will be stops along the way for lunch and for taking photos at scenic spots.
After breakfast, you will explore the highlights of Marrakech, also known as the Red City, with a local guide. Marrakesh is one of Morocco’s four imperial cities.
Your tour includes visits to the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, and the Ben Youssef Quranic School. You will also enjoy a stroll through the largest traditional souk (market) in Morocco.
There will be free time for lunch near Jemaa El-Fna Square.
In the afternoon, you will visit the Koutoubia Mosque, the largest mosque in Marrakesh, followed by a visit to the beautiful Majorelle Garden.
Finally, you will be transferred back to your accommodation.
Feel free to wander around Jemaa El-Fna Square on your own in the evening.
On the final day of the tour, depending on your flight schedule, you may have some free time to enjoy Marrakesh. Afterwards, we will drive north to Casablanca Airport.
